Andrew is 29 years old and a loyal friend, loving fiancé, devoted son, and caring brother. A quiet goofball, Andrew is known for his infectious laugh, brilliant mind, and most of all, a kind heart. Always happy to extend a hand to others, now, Andrew needs your help.
In May 2020, Andrew went to the doctor for swollen lymph nodes. A couple days later, he was diagnosed with mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL), a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. MPAL accounts for only 2-5% of all leukemias and the medical community lacks a clear consensus on how to treat it. However, one thing is certain — he can beat this illness with a bone marrow transplant. Siblings typically have the best chance of being a match, but unfortunately, Andrew’s brother and sister are only half matches. Now Andrew must rely on an unrelated donor — and that’s where you come in.
