My name is Mahesh Pati, I am a husband, father and early immigrant from India. I was diagnosed in May of 2019, the day after throwing a small gathering at my home in celebration of my son's wedding. My diagnosis was out of the blue and a heartbreaking shock to our family, as I had been healthy otherwise. I spent 4 months in the hospital, and fought back to be in a position to receive a transplant. As fate would have it, I had 5 full matches already in the database, but sadly each donor did not step forward to donate.
About me: I'm a loving husband and father of two, I am very active in the community in my service work as the President of a local chapter of the Satya Sai organization, and I also serve as a part time professor at a local university. Looking ahead, I had made big plans with my wife Nibedita -- with dreams of growing old together in better weather, traveling the world, and spending more time with my kids, family & friends. Please help me!
