I am Ahmed, father of Muhammad Anas. My son Muhammad Anus 6.5 years old. experienced his first symptoms (petechiae, fever, nose-bleeding) a two month ago, and after a thorough workup and a bone marrow biopsy, the diagnosis of aplastic anemia was established. The doctors proposed 2 treatment options, immunosuppression with hATG or BMT, and we chose bone marrow transplantation because BMT offers a definitive treatment. I would also like to mention here that hATG is not available in Pakistan.After getting the tests done for HLA typing and cross-matching, we have found out that of Muhammad Anas siblings are not a match for his. I talked to many doctors but was told that the transplant is not possible anywhere in Pakistan becouse There is no registry or system to find a donor.Muhammad Anas is currently taking Revolade (eltrombopag 25mg) and mecobalamin 500 and syp aclovir and nilstat and inj hicartif , along with antimicrobial prophylaxis but his disease is poorly controlled with this therapy and he developed many complications(upper respiratory tract infections, upper face, arms, calf and legs cellulitis, teeth blooding again and again since his diagnosis which were treated with appropriate medications. He is dependent on transfusions and has received 9 pRBC, 25 platelets packs. I have attached his diagnosis reports. If you need any other details, please let me know. I am very poor.
